Small bomb near Bangkok government building injures two

A small explosion occurred inside a garbage bin in front of the old Government Lottery Office on Ratchadamnone Klaong Road at 8 pm (Apr 5), slightly injuring two persons, the Chana Sonkram police chief said.

The small bomb, whose type has yet to be identified, was hidden inside the garbage bin.

Suriyaporn Poolsombat, an employee of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration suffered a ringing in her ears. Pimwar Raweenoppasit, another BMA worker, suffered slightly scratches on her arm. The two were sent to a hospital. The two were standing near the bin.

Metropolitan Police chief Pol Lt Gen Sanit Mahathavorn rushed to the scene to join other officers to inspect the bomb.
