A Gloucester man who went missing in Thailand has returned home safe and well.
Officers met Shane Evans when his plane landed at Heathrow last night to check his welfare.
Shane then returned home to Gloucester with his family.
Shane had been missing in Thailand for six days, and had sent his mum a text saying “I’m sorry” beforehand.

The 28-year-old’s mother Wendy Evans said they had been “through hell” since her son disappeared in the Far Eastern country.
Gloucestershire police had been working with the international police organisation Interpol to find Gloucester-born Shane who had been travelling around New Zealand since October.
But after tracing his phone they found he had gone to Thailand without telling anybody after he split up his girlfriend.
Police said they would like to thank everyone who shared the appeal for Shane.
